West India is a region that offers spiritual solace of centuries and the sylvan serenity of the countryside. The region is home to rich cultural heritage with innumerable monuments, exquisitely carved temples, stupas, forts and palaces. The natural beauty is equally varied, consisting of plateaus, spectacular mountain ranges, meandering rivers and miles of dense forests offering a unique and exciting experience.



Arrive Gwalior, this ancient city is steeped in its past splendour. You will be met on arrival and transferred to the hotel. A multitude of reigning dynasties, the Pratiharas, Kachwahas and Tomars have left imprints of their rule, in this city of palaces, temples and monuments.

Afternoon proceed for a sightseeing tour of Gwalior. Visit the Gwalior Fort that dominates the city and is the most renowned land mark, its walls housing several fascinating temples and palaces in ruins. A steep road winds upwards to the Fort, flanked by statues of Jain tirthankaras carved into the rock face. The Fort area is also home of the Scindia school. Later proceed to visit Jai Vilas Palace and Museum. Rest of the day is at leisure or explore this historic city on your own. Overnight at the hotel


After breakfast, proceed to Datia (69 kms/1.5 hrs), mentioned in the Mahabharata as Daityavakra'. The main monuments here are the 7 storied palace of Raja Bir Singh Deo and Gopeshwar Temple. Later drive to Orcha ( 60 Kms / 1 hr ). Lunch at Orcha followed by sightseeing of Orcha. Orcha was founded in the 16th century by the Bundela Rajput chieftain, Rudra Pratap, who chose this stretch of land along the Betwa river as an ideal site for his capital. From here the view of soaring temple spires and cenotaphs is spectacular. The noble proportions of their exteriors and interiors represent the finest flowering of the Bundela school of painting. In the Laxminarayan Temple and Raj Mahal, vibrant murals encompassing a variety of religious and secular themes, bring the walls and ceilings to rich life. Rest of the evening is at leisure,. Overnight at the hotel.


After breakfast, proceed to Khajuraho (150 kms/ 4 hrs). Arrive and check-in at the hotel. Evening enjoy a sound and light show at the Khajuraho temples. Overnight at the hotel


After breakfast, visit the fascinating Western group of temples. The temples of Khajuraho have been declared a 'world heritage' site by UNESCO in order to preserve the rich legacy of architecture, bequeathed to future generations by the Kings of the Chandela dynasty. These temples are famous for their intricate sculptures and erotic carvings that are one of the outstanding achievements of Indian art. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel
